If your bird feeder is being accessed by unwanted animals or if it's causing a mess on the ground, it may be hanging too low. Birds prefer to feed in elevated areas to feel safe from predators, so hanging the feeder higher can attract more birds and discourage other animals. Additionally, hanging the feeder higher can also make it easier to clean and refill. **

If a baby bird is hanging on the nest, it may be in danger of falling out. It's important to approach the situation carefully and try to gently place the baby bird back into the nest. If the nest is too high to reach, it's best to contact a wildlife rehabilitator or a local animal rescue organization for assistance. It's important to avoid handling the baby bird too much, as the scent of humans can attract predators. **

To make your own proper bird feed for hanging, you can start by mixing together a combination of birdseed, such as sunflower seeds, millet, and cracked corn. You can also add in some nuts, such as peanuts or almonds, for added protein. To bind the mixture together, you can use a mixture of peanut butter and melted suet. Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, you can press the mixture into molds or shapes, and then allow it to cool and harden before hanging it outside for the birds to enjoy. **

If a canary bird is hanging its leg, it could be a sign of injury or discomfort. The bird may have hurt its leg or foot, or it could be experiencing pain or swelling in that area. It is important to observe the bird closely and seek veterinary care if the behavior persists or if there are other signs of distress. **
